The Republic of Cascadia is a relatively new faction in the northern american wasteland that has grown considerably large and powerful for their short time being around. Starting off as a small militia force that regulated the lands of the Oregon area they soon grew into a full fledged military force that assimilated the surrounding lands into their control. Their beginnings may have been a bit rough and required some violence but they don‘t resort to executions for their advantage as they want to paint a better picture of themselves. They have participated in a few conflicts around the wastes such as the NCR-legion war and the brotherhood-NCR skirmishes that came to a surprising end with an NCR victory. They continue to steadily grow under the lead of their new General, Sebastian.
Leadership and his affiliation[]
Their current leader is Sebastian, A brilliant, cunning and sharp-witted man who will get his way through force or manipulation. He has managed to hold his grip firm and ensure the republic wouldn‘t crumble in the wake of raider attacks and the assassination of their former General. His affiliation remains with just his faction and the gunners. His vows to further bring the nation into a powerful force are continued through his policy of industrialisation and militarisation. He managed to bring technology that was previously unavailable to the republic such as the fleet of cars which are being produced in workshops at a descent rate.
Military[]
The Cascadian armed forces started out as a militia group established after the Great war. However,By the founding of the Republic they began to employ former american military weapons,Equipment and vehicles into the armed forces. Motorisation of the armed forces began due to the employment of former us military vehicles.
Relations[]
New California Republic[]
Cascadia has very good relations with the NCR due to fighting alongside them in 2 wars against Caesar's legion and the brotherhood of steel. Another reason is that they also support the idea of democracy and the rights of the people.
Brotherhood of steel[]
The Cascadians and Brotherhood of steel have very hostile relations with each pther due to their involvement against the brotherhood during the Brotherhood-NCR skirmishes and the capturing of technology from captured BOS soldiers.
Caesars Legion[]
The Cascadian also have a hostile relationship with the Legion, this is due to their imperialistic nature and their enslavement of nearby settlements. The Cascadians are known for their stance against the Use Of Force Labour and after the death of Sebastian only wish to be patient for nearby settlements to join their cause, which is not what the Legion follows. They also attacked Hoover Dam, a territory owned by the NCR which prompted the San-Francisco Pact (Deseret, New California Republic and Cascadia) to declare war. Caesars Legion would soon collapse due to being overwhelmed from the West to the North.
